The Ask
The objective of this project was to build a portfolio foundation that is intentional rather than just aesthetic. By compiling personal research, including personality assessments, mission statement development, and career gap analyses, I translated my core values into brand and content decisions that define who I am as an emerging fashion professional.

I took an analytical approach to defining my professional identity through several key phases:
Self-Auditing & Personality Synthesis: I analyzed results from the MBTI, VIA Character Strengths, and Brand Archetype assessments to identify my "Top Strengths," specifically Perspective and Fairness. I used these results to determine that I thrive in "Creator" and "Advocate" environments where I can combine technical fashion skills with nonprofit impact.
Mission Statement Iteration: I drafted and refined a personal mission statement that connects my role as a fashion merchandising student with my lived experience as a nonprofit founder. I focused on defining "purpose-driven creativity" as my unique value proposition.
Career Gap Analysis & Mapping: I researched high-level leadership roles, such as Global Director of Inclusive Design, and compared their requirements against my current skills. I then built a concrete Action Plan to bridge these gaps, focusing on gaining industry experience in New York City.
Creative Process
Visual Identity Branding: I translated my core values into a tangible brand kit. I curated a color story and moodboards centered on my personal values and interests such from pediatric cancer awareness, my favorite animals, and textures like lace and ruffles to represent a "bold and ethereal" energy
The Outcome
Through this project, I successfully transitioned from a student with various interests to a professional with a clear, cohesive Brand Identity. My favorite and most impactful part of this process was creating the moodboards to define my brand. This visual research allowed me to:
